Adult Camogie hosted Ballyboden St Enda's for the second round of the Junior 2 Camogie Championship on Tuesday night in Rivervalley. Smarting after their defeat to table-toppers Faughs last week, BBSE fought for everything and ensured a very tight first half. Both teams struggled to break each other down and the half time break saw the game poised at a miserly 0-4 to 0-2.

Finians lost a player to a red card early in the second half but there is real grit and determination in this team and they rallied from there. Defensively, we repelled everything BBSE threw at us, holding them scoreless for the entire second half. With that solid base, the team started to find their feet going forward. A blistering last quarter saw the team run out 18-point winners in the end.

This win puts Finians into a Championship semi-final. Our last group game is a home game against table-toppers Faughs next Tuesday. That game will decide whether we play our semi-final at home or away in mid-September.
