The U14 D1 girls Camogie team booked our place in the semi-finals of the championship with a second win in the round-robin series. The away victory over our old rivals St Vincent’s was a physical hard fought affair.👏👏
Meanwhile, also in Marino, the D7 girls took to the all weather pitch for a much anticipated start to their championship campaign against St Vincent’s. Recalling previous encounters, both teams immediately set out to dominate and a strong battle for possession ensued. Finians found the back of the net first leaving Vincent’s hungry to level. Despite the intense thundery heat, both teams showed skill, athleticism and drive which was rewarded with a score for Vincent’s and a further two scores for the Finians girls. Fierce clashes just in front of our goals in the final minutes made for some nail biting moments but we managed to defend until the final whistle and emerged as victorious on the day. 👏👏
Well done to all the U14 girls on their performances. 💪🏻
