Our minor hurling team played their 1st round hurling championship game v St Brigids last Sunday morning in Russell Park, Blanchardstown.
We started strongest with a well taken Brendan Galvin goal from the 1st attack.
St Brigids settled well after this, and both teams exchanged great scores, leaving the half-time score at 1.6 to 1.4 in favour of St Finians.
The 2nd half was a tight affair in torrential rain as both teams exchanged great scores, and thankfully, we ran out winners with a score line 2.11 to 3.4.
It was an excellent panel performance with all 20 players contributing to the result.
Thanks to all the supporters and parents who made the journey and persevered in the rain.
