U16s LGFA had their second championship game today away to Ballyboden. With weather causing chaos to fixtures across the capital the game was moved to the all weather pitch in Santa Maria.
St Finians started slowly and gave away early chances to Ballyboden who gobbled them up and went ahead by 2-2 to 0-1 after 10 mins. St Finians grew into the game and scored some lovely goals and points and went into the half time up by 5. In the second half the heavens opened and it rained for the duration but this didn’t stop the Finians players continuing to play good football and racked up scores. 💪💪
In the final minute Ballyboden got a penalty and St Finians goalkeeper made a fantastic save. Two wins from two now and roll on St Marks in 2 weeks time. 👏👏
Huge thanks to the U14s and U15s for player support.
Final score BBSE B 2-2 St Finians 6-13
