With both ourselves and Faughs guaranteed passage into the semi finals of the Division 1 Cup, It was a matter of bragging rights and who would get a home draw for the semi final.

Finians played into the big wind in the first half and because of their tremendous tackling with hooks and blocks they managed to take a slender lead in at halftime.

Second half continued with the same drive and determination from both teams. The tackling was fierce but fair. Faughs managed to pull into a 2 point lead with time up.

That's when our girls showed their true grit. The girls managed to score a goal followed up by a well taken free to close out the game by 2 points.

A massive congratulations goes to these girls. It's no mean achievement to reach a Division 1 semi final but their constant desire to learn and get better has them where they are.
