Thomas Ashe welcomed Raheny on Sunday afternoon to Rivervalley in the all weather pitch, to play the League Semi Final. Great asset to have as the rain claimed a lot of matches this weekend.
The lads started brightly making plenty of chances, resulting in a goal and a couple of points in quick succession. Raheny held their own and caused us plenty of problems overloading midfield and scoring a brace of points of their own. The game ebbed and flowed and Thomas Ashe went in to half time with a narrow lead. πͺπͺ
In the second half the lads up their game and took control of the game, keeping Raheny at arms length and the scoreboard ticking over. Commiserations to Raheny, its tough losing a semi final.
Well done to the lads, the hard work and dedication is paying off. Looking forward to the final in a couple of weeks πππͺ
Thanks to everyone who came out to support the lads todayππ
