Thanks to all the supporters who turned up to see the adult camogie team kicking off their league campaign against Good Counsel on our All-Weather pitch on Tuesday night. Having won the Junior 3 league last year, this was the first outing at Junior 2 and we were not disappointed. The first half was cagey. Good Counsel brought a strong game and the Finians ladies had to work out a few kinks / rustiness. We turned the corner 5 points to the good (1-7 to 1-2) but it was clear Finians had more in the tank. 

The second half turned into a score-fest for Finians with impressive performances through defence, midfield and attack. We were winning virtually every battle and got stronger as the game went on. The ladies closed out the game 6-12 to 2-3 and there were lots of smiles and hugs coming off the pitch. Special call-out to our first-year minors who put in some amazing performances and looked totally at home playing at this level.
