It's National Tree Week 🌳🌳🌳 and Fingal County Council is building on its ambitious countywide tree planting programme, which has already delivered more than 60,000 trees across the county since 2019. Throughout this year’s event, the Council has announced it will give away a further 8,000 free trees for residents to plant in their own communities, helping to strengthen local biodiversity and expand Fingal’s growing tree canopy.

The tree giveaways in Fingal will take place from 10am to 1pm on Wednesday 11th and Saturday 14th of March at these locations: St Catherine’s Park, Millennium Park, Ardgillan Demesne, Malahide Demesne, Racecourse Park, Newbridge Demesne & Ward River Valley.

There is a limit of two trees per household, and the Council is asking people to consider which type of tree is suitable for their garden. To help reduce use of plastic, please also bring your own bag to transport the tree to your home.
