Yesterday was a close game for the Mixed rounders team.

The 2nd innings went wrong for us when fielding and we let too many runs in and were chasing a big lead. Some position changes on the field brought us back into the game from the 3rd. We started the 5th needing 10 scores to win and but only managed 5 before they efficiently got 3 of our batters out.

Royal rounders Dunderry batted first in each innings and the scores for each were:

8-5, 16-5, 0-6 , 2-4, 3-5.

Final score 29-25 to Dunderry. We wish them well in the Junior Mixed All Ireland Final next month.

Well done to all our players and coaches who gave it their best on the pitch today and in the lead up to Sundays game.
