Our U16s Girls team rounded off their year with a Shield Final away to Garristown on Sunday afternoon.

The game was played at a relentless pace and the lead swung back and forward right throughout the game.
It was a very competitive game and played in a very good spirit and for that, huge credit must go to both sets of players. Behind by 3 points at half time, St Finian's scored a very creditable 3:9 in the second half.
It wasn't to be as Garristown won by 2 points on a scoreline of 8:13 to 7:14.
The coaches and mentors would like to thank all the supporters who traveled out to today's game and indeed who supported us in numbers throughout the League and Championship.
Finally, the coaches would like to express their appreciation for those players who journeyed with us in our successful Football and Camogie campaigns earlier this Summer.

Best of luck with the Minors, girls!
