After a lot of rain in the afternoon, Friday evening turned out to be a perfect evening for Rounders. Our adult mixed team had their first Junior All Ireland championship group game of the season and took 5 points with a 24-12 win over Dublin Mets. 👏👏

It was a great performance and a strong start to the season. Joint top scorers were Martin & Helen with 4 runs each. Some brilliant catches & fielding by the team with POTM being Helen for both new team coach Bart & the referee. The picture here of her outstanding catch at 2nd base shows her in action but she also played two other positions during the game at catcher and short stop and was excellent at them all!

Paul Bradley & Stephen Murnane made their rounders championship debuts and did really well. Sisters Sarah & Helen Foley both long-standing rounders players in their home county of Carlow were playing their first championship games for their new club of Finians and we are delighted to have them.

New players of all abilities always welcome. We look ahead now to our 1st ladies game of the season next Sunday 15th May away to Skryne and our second mixed on 29th May v Fenagh.
