U8 Boys Hurling Blitz

A short trip to Setanta in Ballymun was taken by the under 8 boys. Word had spread in the hurling corridors of Croke Park that this team are going places, and so an invite to a hurling blitz offered by Setanta was gratefully accepted by St Finians.

Under a cloudless blue sky and rising temperatures the boys hurled away to a great standard against Parnells, Setanta and Tyrellstown. A huge number of goals and skill points were accumulated with lots of excellent ground hurling strikes, blocks, and passes on show. At no point did the summer break look like it had hampered their skills. All the boys took on the coaches tips and encouragement and improved in every game.

A big thank you to Setanta for the invite to a wonderfully run blitz and also for the medals, ice cream and goodies for all the boys.
