Our Under 17 hurling team played the 1st round of their championship last Sunday in Ridgewood Park v Lusca Ros.

On a beautiful afternoon in ideal conditions we had an explosive start with Sean Cronin scoring 3 of his 4 from play in the first 15 minutes. 💪💪

Our work rate resulted in some excellent scores from Brendan Galvin and Nathan Foster. 👏👏

Following the waterbreak, the opposition settled into the game but not before Brendan Galvin struck with an excellent goal.

Lusk finished the 1st half strongest. The half time score was 1 .11 to 1 .04 in our favour.

Following the break both teams exchange great scores and Brendans 2nd goal was equally as good as the 1st coming in from a tight angle.

Lusk piled on the pressure with another goal and 4 points but despite this we held on with some brilliant defensive play and well taken points to see out the game.

Overall it was fantastic team display from all players. 👏👏💪💪
