It was a busy Sunday for the adult hurling teams with the last round of group stage championship matches for both teams. Played in wet conditions, the first team lost by 3points after a great battle with Lucan Sarsfields in Ridgewood. Goals from James Shelly and James Burke brought Finians to the verge of getting a result but Lucan held on for victory. Thankfully victories earlier in the campaign were enough to secure qualification to the quarter final stage. 💪💪

In the afternoon, it was over to Rivervalley for the 2nd team clash with Ranelagh Gaels. Karl Martin put Finians on the front foot with some outstanding points. Goals from Chris Brennan, Johnny Walsh and Warren Hanley were crucial scores. Ranelagh Gaels hit back with 3 goals of their own to narrow the margin, however the Finians backs steadied again and late points saw Finians win on a 3-19 to 3-7 scoreline. The win secured a quarter final place. 👏👏
