Thomas Ashe U14βs hosted Lucan Sarsfields on Saturday afternoon. Lucan got into their stride from the start and rattled off 5 quick points to one solitary point for Thomas Ashe. It took the lads 15 minutes to get into the game and establish themselves on the opposition but once they did there was no looking back. A combination of strong running and slick hand passing led to 6 goals and 3 points at half time with Thomas Ashe firmly on top. A mention for our 45 free taker, knocking over 3 45s with ease. πͺπͺπͺ
The first 10 minutes of the second half saw the lads build on their lead, and put the game out of sight. In fairness to Lucan they continued to battle to the end and put a good spell in the second half where they closed the gap. Our defence stood firm and our goalkeeper had an outstanding game. The lads finished joint top of the table missing out on first place on goal/point difference. We look forward to a quater final match in 2 weeks time. We'll done ladsππππ
