It’s hard to believe that a year has passed since Anthony died – his first anniversary is this coming St. Stephen’s Day, 26th December.  We have missed Anthony terribly.  There has been an empty chair at so many family occasions, a considered voice missing during discussions. 

Anthony would have gotten so much joy from events over the year – his grandchildren’s escapades, the World Cup, Rory McIlroy’s season run and not to mention the many successes of St Finian’s Teams during 2022 (the fortunes of the Meath football team would have no doubt gotten a “sure, that’s it goes sometimes”!     

On behalf of all the McDonagh family, we would like to thank the Club community again for your support and kindness over the year.  We appreciate everything you have done for us and to keep his memory alive in the club. 

Anthony’s anniversary mass will take place at 11am on St. Stephen’s Day 26th December (Monday) at St. Finian’s Church Rivervalley.

 Finally, we would like to wish everyone a very happy Christmas and best wishes for 2023.
