On Saturday 24 of the U11 Finian's girls travelled to St Annes Park  for a football match v Raheny.  This was our first football game in 6 weeks due to the rain so we had a few cobwebs to brush off early on.  It is also the start of the girls playing one fifty minute match rather than 3 shorter games which definitely takes some getting used to. After a few minutes though the girls adapted to the bigger pitch and began playing brilliantly. Goals and points were flying in and over for all the teams which led to them being hugely enjoyable to watch. It was great to see the girls back out playing matches and and we look forward to welcoming Raheny back to Ridgewood this week for the return game, this time in Camogie.
