The adult Camogie team were on the road Tuesday to take on league leaders Oliver Plunketts. Plunketts caused us a lot of problems in the first half, pulling in their half backs and half forward to create a very crowded midfield. They out-muscled us in the rucks and then played fast balls in over the top of our defence. Finians were driving at them but with a stiff breeze in our faces, getting points was tough work. Captain Jules McDonald fired over 2 from frees and one from play while Aoife Appleyard and Ellie Kane both contributed two points a piece to leave the score at 1-1 to 0-7 at half time.

The second half brought the wind at our backs. We started to kick the ball out of the rucks which brought us away from Plunketts physicality. The game started to open up and the scores came thick and fast. Aoife Appleyard scored 1-2, Ellie Kane lashed in 2-1, Ava Kiernan fired in a goal from a free. Points from Lorna Cronin and Jules again completed the scoring. It wasn't all one-way traffic though but the defensive unit pressured and harried throughout the second half and Emma Cronin made several stops and clearances from goal to restrict Plunketts to a single point in the second half.

Finians ran out 1-2 to 4-12 winners and are now 3 wins from 3 played. Next up is Setanta in 2 weeks who are also unbeaten and scoring for fun.
