Under 14 Camogie Update

Finians welcomed Faughs to Fortress RiverValley for their penultimate league match on a warm Thursday evening. Perhaps it was the weather, or maybe the fact the girls had just finished school, but they were buzzing for this one. Both teams had plenty to play for with designs on the coveted Runners Up spot in Division 1. :)

Faughs arrived on the back of some very impressive results so the task in front of Finians seemed daunting. Those worries were put to the side once the sliothar was thrown in as every rook was attacked with gusto! Both teams showed their tenacity, but Finians settled first with a couple of scores, including a major. Faughs came back into and both teams kept the scoreboard ticking over. As we approached half-time, Finians added a second goal to go in at the break a few points to the good. 

As expected, Faughs started the second half fast, notching some scores, but Finians roared back to keep their lead in tact. A third goal was added in the second half and Finians were able to close out the game with some excellent free-taking.

The victory sets up a final match against Clontarf, with the winner taking the League Runners Up. 👏👏💪💪
