The U14 Boys made the short trip over to Blunden Drive this evening for the latest round of the hurling league against O'Tooles.
The boys have been hurling well so far this season, improving week by week, and the message was simple... maintain the standards.
Right from the off it was clear the lads were up for the contest, the first point scored within 30 seconds, and they continued in that vein for the rest of the half, first to every ball, strong in the rucks and winning individual battles right across the pitch. 💪💪
As the half progressed the boys worked ferociously and some excellent short play combined with some fine long range points saw the away side work up a gap as they approached the break.
The second half saw a spirited response from the home side, but again the boys proved more than equal to the task, and a strong third quarter meant the lads kicked on for a comprehensive win. 👏👏
The quality of hurling right across all 18 players was excellent, some of the catching, tackling and blocking especially impressive. A happy bunch headed back to Swords looking forward to the next outing. 😀😀
